Good point. I doubt Howie wants the whole world, or at least America, to see his true home

I missed the ep. Ah well.
In other news, seeing Howie's childhood home in TO would be kinda cool, IMO. Or perhaps--just perhaps--they could visit his and Leyla's high school alma mater. *nods*

I thought I was going to miss the episode myself, because we had some storms rolling through our area at the time, and it seemed like every 5 minutes, on satellite, they would break in reminding everyone that there were warnings in effect As if people can't look outside and tell there's rough weather on the way Fortunately, though, we have cable also, and I was able to watch all of it there, once I turned away from satellite.

We had some pretty crappy weather around early to mid-afternoon. Thankfully, that's the last crap I'm going to see until at least Wednesday.

Good point. I doubt Howie wants the whole world, or at least America, to see his true home You mean Howie's home in L.A.? That would be something, if it really happened. Let's all go to Howie's house and play the rest of Mary's game at his front lawn, then we can get to see his wife, Terry, and their 3 grown-up children. Unfortunately, after "round 1" and then after the break, DoND, Howie and company finished the rest of Mary's game at CULVER CITY STUDIOS, the current sound stage and studio!! As of Mary winning $10 Tuesday night, CHUMP CHANGE!!

Deal or No Deal used to be exciting, it is really boring now.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. Many of the contestants that continue to get on there are nothing short of annoying or irritating, and of course some of them are the ones that end up winning a lot And, as if that's not enough, the ideas for some of the episodes are just plain dumb. I mean, what's the point of going to that woman's house last night if they're not going to stay for her entire game? I just don't get it. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear that Deal won't be lasting much longer at this rate.

I tried to get a screencap from the video clip on NBC's site. It's a tad fuzzy, but I thought it was cute. That could be a fun idea. Boring? I wouldn't quite say that myself. But yes, I will agree some of the contestants weren't too great in recent months. So...some episodes haven't been as fun to watch due to that fact. Like the NASCAR nut, the butt slapping lady, etc. But, nice folks like this current guy? Yeah, that makes decent tv in my book.

Well, to me, it's not as exciting as it used to be.

Well, I will admit when there's like no big numbers left in play, it's not as fun to watch either. Anyway...guy from last night - that was an awesome deal. In some ways the items offered were priceless. Second guy irked me. And that whole 'Deal Man' bit. Ug....

In some ways the items offered were priceless. Second guy irked me. And that whole 'Deal Man' bit. Ug.... Agree even more, about both contestants from last night's show, Kyranthia!! Good way to start the show off from Arthur's "priceless" win, but for the last contestant, Jesse, luck didn't fair out for him. Opposite game #4 of "The 2007 NBA Finals" (Go CAVS!! Beat the Spurs!!) on ABC at 9:00 p.m. tonight, CNBC is re-airing last night's "Deal or No Deal." The first part of the show has a contestant, Arthur Joseph, finishing his game from Tuesday, June 5th. He is a fan of the NBA's Miami Heat. A resident of Miami, Fla., he also has relatives and friends in Trinidad. The models marched out on stage wearing female basketball jerseys that almost have the look of the Miami Heat logo, but actually not!! Each jersey has the word, MIAMI, along with their corresponding briefcase number. We introduce the contestant back with Calypso music to the DoND theme, along w/ a limbo moment!! Thanks to models, Lisa (#3) & Lindsay S. (#4) for holding the limbo stick!! His game was so "priceless" winning a Bank Offer of a $60K+ Miami Heat basketball package & $10K in cash. It looked like Tameka (#21) & Marisa (#18) had tears of joy in their eyes. - - - - - Models are back in place wearing their dark pink dresses (color matches Howie's shirt), and Howie introduces the next contestant in "another sort of way." Howie went backstage to bring out our last contestant of the night, Jesse Puttananickal, along w/ his two side-supporters. Then the surprise reunion of his mom and brother, both from India, occurred. Let's bring 'em all out on the main stage to play the game!! Jesse has lived in the U.S. for quite some time. Originally from India, he's going to be an American citizen soon. Congratulations on accomplishing that moment and being an American, Jesse!! As far as Jesse's game went, he did well in round #2 getting a Bank Offer of $71K, but round after round to the very end, it all slipped right there. The American dream faded, and he ended up winning his case (#7) containing $100 (chump change!!). I thought we're going to have another "Brooks Leach" moment ($10 & $100 remaining on the board). Anyway, congrats again, and for being proud to be an American!! Hopefully, next Monday's season finale will be the best, and that we have a big winner to the end!!

In some ways the items offered were priceless. Second guy irked me. And that whole 'Deal Man' bit. Ug.... That was wonderful seeing that guy take the Miami Heat offer. That was a truly an offer he couldn't refuse. And obviously he made the right decision, since he would've opened up the million in the next round As for the season ending episode, that lady actually didn't bother me too much. I can't get on her for being a teacher, or for being someone who's all about family. I'm glad she won a ton of money, even though she could've done much better. It was a good way to end the season

No gameplay spoilers in this post, just some cosmetic changes...
* The insides of the cases now sport red felt or velvet, much like the ones from DoND Canada. (The font for the dollar values is still the same...though I don't know what it is.)
* The music for the case-opening has changed. It's a bit more muted, though also more dramatic (IMO, at least).

The board looked a bit different too. The lighting on it was different, I thought.

(The font for the dollar values is still the same...though I don't know what it is.) * The music for the case-opening has changed. It's a bit more muted, though also more dramatic (IMO, at least). Briefcase $ Amount Fonts Just say that the fonts for the briefcase dollar amounts are the same (thank goodness!!) since December 2005, mostly the basic dark grayish-black placards w/ silver-white numbering for the $ amount fonts. You're looking for the official font name? I have various Microsoft applications and it is called EUROSTILE Bold Condensed. FishEggs has provided the excellent fonts and graphics for such shows like Deal or No Deal, 1 vs. 100, The Singing Bee, Identity and Age of Love, just to name a few!!
The Inside of Those Briefcases I think the red velvet for the inside of the cases looks good with the new lighting the studio has for this season during game play. It's similar to DOND Canada. I'm always used to the blue velvet insides as I look back from watching the last 2 seasons and the DVD game that I have (BTW, Tameka opens all the cases for the DVD game). In the U.S. version, the red velvets were used inside those gold cases for the "Lucky Case Game" segments.
The New "Think Music" Package For Case-Opening In Season 3, for the first 3 rounds where the contestant has 6, 5 and 4 cases to open respectively, the new "think music" sounds like something you here on any local news music package, or a little bit of the classic TV theme of the courtroom show The People's Court. At Rounds 4 and the separate rounds afterward, assuming the $1 Million and a few 6-figure amounts are still in play, the "think music" changes and sounds too dramatic. If the contestant land-minded (all huge $ amounts gone), the "think music" goes back to the Round 1 theme. I think these are great changes to start the new season off, but I still prefer the old "think music" played for all rounds.
The familiar and previous "think music" case-opening is heard in the following: * Seasons 1 & 2 of the NBC U.S. version (during actual case opening) * DoND Canada w/ Howie Mandel * Other International TV versions: Vas o No Vas & Le Banquier * The PC/CD-ROM version (during actual case opening) * All electronic game versions from Irwin Toys (only when you turn the game on) * The DVD Game (only when you decide to switch cases)
