By any chance, did anyone catch last night's episode of Deal or No Deal? History was made. She became the first person in the history of the show to win the lowest amount possible: one penny. www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/video/#cat=29328

And today, we've had another 1p winner, so within a day, both the US and UK versions have had a 1p winner.

Nice to know the lady's piggy bank wasn't really smashed to bits. I didn't think so but I thought at some point during the show, she was gonna get it back.
But a penny. A new low. Tisk, tisk....

When she turned down the final offer, she actually said "I'm here to make history, whether it's a million or a penny."

This was the 2nd night of the show's "Million $ Mission" and she played her game w/ 3 chances to win the million.
Heather had her highest offer of the night which was a $207,000 bank offer, while having big amounts of $400K and two $1M prizes remaining. She turned that offer down and the game went the other way, knocking out both $1M prizes in one round, and later the $400K.
You all know that I get to emotionally invested in this show, even in the last 2 seasons. When the penny and $10,000 were the only two amounts remaining on the board, and the final bank offer of the night was $5,500, I screamed at the TV for Heather to hit that button and take that deal, just like if I was in that studio audience.
Hopefully Sunday's ep. will be better as the "retro" themes of the night celebrates the 70s and 80s. Can't wait to see this!! ;D

Too many references about pigs this season on "Deal or No Deal." First, was when Kermit the Frog made an appearance last November for "Green Week" and the contestant (had he promised to win over $200K) wanted to go on a double date around NYC w/ Leyla (#13). The other couple for that date, Kermit & Miss Piggy!! ;D
Then on the 3rd day of the new year, we get this farm girl, who brought a very cute piggy bank to the show. Later on, she was surprised w/ a pig sty, where one of the pigs almost got loose around the set. The remaining briefcase models even styled their hair w/ pigtails, which I think looked cute on the girls. YEE--HAW!! Howie also had pigtails which were suctioned-cup to his bald head. That didn't work, and he gave those pigtails to one of the side supporters.
Did The Banker really have a replica of any piggy bank in his office for him to smash as part of the act?
Now that Heather has won the $ .01 on the U.S. version, how many more pennies will it take to fill-up that cute piggy bank? ;D

On Tuesday, January 15, CNBC re-aired this episode of Heather McKee winning the penny. It was shown at 9:00 p.m. & 12:00 a.m.
I never bothered to watch this episode again, as it was on at the same time w/ the "season premier" of a widely well-known popular singing competition on FOX, now beginning its 7th season.
