Happy Thanksgiving, once again, to all of you on this board, and in a special way, to all of your family and friends, during this holiday season. Be thankful for saying this, but I love you all!!
Well, Wednesday night on NBC was so exciting and alot to be thankful for, with "Phenomenon" (LIVE Season Finale) and "Deal or No Deal" (2-hour Thanksgiving Special).
"Phenomenon" (I've never watched this show at all!!) had beautiful women on the program, and I'm thankful that I watched last night.
Shandi Finnessey (GSN programs, Miss USA 2004, DWTS Season 4, etc.) & Dayna Devon ("Extra") were two of the three celebrity guests. The only female contestant, Angela Funovits, was a finalist, and ended up as 1st runner-up last night to winner, Mike Super. Angela is so sexy and she's from a Cleveland suburb close to me. And last, but not least, are some of the "Deal or No Deal" Models. Three hours of looking at the DoND Models; what a night it has been!!
And finally the treat!! Hope you all had a wonderful and delicious turkey dinner w/ all the trimmings. I'm already full, right now!! And if you tune in after your local news, you will get this treat. Read the message that I post next.

Since Monday, November 5th, the WRITERS' STRIKE of 2007 commenced in New York & Los Angeles, and sadly, this affects the late night TV shows that we watch. We are seeing many repeats of NBC's late night shows, that I will not bother watching. During a holiday time like this, let us think about these workers who don't have jobs to support their loved ones, and I'm sure something will get resolved soon so that all, including Jay Leno, can go back to work.
On this Thanksgiving night after your local news, NBC is giving us a repeat of The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno which aired on Thursday 11/23/06 - Thanksgiving Night, For us DoND fans, this will be exciting, once again!! November 23, 2006 was considered an "NBC Game Night" because DoND aired from 8-10pm, and Leno would air at 11:35 p.m.
Jay's guest include Howie Mandel, DoND Models and a musical performance from Nelly Furtado. The entire audience comprised of all 5 branches of the U.S. Military, and we play "Armed Forces Deal or No Deal" w/ Howie, the models and the military contestants.
More to come!!

I had missed the DoND game on Jay Leno last year so I was glad to see it. But...silly me should have taped it. Staying up til 12:30am and working a 9 hour day...Bad Idea...

Thanksgiving 2007I'm glad that you and I enjoyed that repeat of that DoND-related "The Tonight Show" w/ the U.S. Armed Forces audience which aired on Thanksgiving Night 2006. Usually, for the past 6 or 7 years, Jay Leno tapes a new episode w/ the U.S. soldiers on a Thanksgiving afternoon in Burbank, and that there would be big named guests and musicians to entertain the troops. Due to the Writers' Strike this year which affected many TV shows, including late-night TV, we have all gotten repeats since November 5. I even don't mind watching "Leno" episodes as far back as 1993 or late '90s. These eps. brings back lots of memories. Finally, you might have heard this a few weeks ago. Carson Daly might have first come back on the air, earlier this month with or without writers. After the new year starts, Jay & Conan on NBC, along w/ their other late-night rivals will be back on the air, and taping their respective shows.
On a DoND note, Thanksgiving was lots to be thankful for. First on the eve of, half of the models appeared on the "Phenomenon" Season Finale by assisting the eliminated contestants/mentalists with their mind-bending tricks. I was so happy that they showed up for that event. Afterward, we get a new Thanksgiving-themed "Deal or No Deal" which is this season's first 2-hour ep. Food prizes for the lower-tiered amounts, a gigantic pumpkin pie in front of the game board, two exciting contestants (especially Jay Garrity's game), a top 10 moments segment and finally two models' marches in their sparkling dark orange dresses. Who can ask for anything more!!
For the day of, after our family's early Thanksgiving dinner, I rested after being full. I also surfed the web and watched my 11:00 p.m. local newscast on WKYC/NBC. With the Writers' Strike still looming, "Leno" aired last year's ep. w/ Howie Mandel and the models. Over at CNBC, they re-aired this year's Thanksgiving episode. So I switched channels between commercials after "Leno" was done, but all I wanted to see was the 2nd Models' March of that evening.
I know that Thanksgiving was over a month ago. The joyous holidays, whether Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's, are always here with us and in our hearts. Christmas decorations have been up since early December. Enjoy the upcoming 2-hour Christmas Night episode starting at 8:00 p.m.
Happy Holidays!!
