I just got this from the buzzerblog site. This information is paraphrased. The show wants to add a new gimmick, the "Deal Wheel." After you take the deal or get the value in your case, you have the option of playing for double, triple or half your winnings. The wheel resembles that of a roulette wheel. The ramp they described is similar to a Plinko board. They plan to start this on December 12th.

Picking A Case
Was once the beautiful Case #9, but then who knows. NBC might bring back the primetime version.

I logged on to the Buzzerblog.com site to read about this new element that Deal or No Deal will have for the winning contestant. I even read all of the comments that were posted. Hopefully, this will be far better than that "Double or Nothing" end game the show had last season, and that maybe someone might walk out w/ over a million dollars, assuming the contestant won over $350K or more!!

I'm not sure if that is good idea to do if they have the time. For example, the Aussie version introduced the new gimmick and it was good till the problems of time began to push the gimmick out of the program (it's now used rarely)...

I would like this new wheel thing if it wasn't going to be used on a frequent basis. If there's enough time left in the player's game, then they should go ahead and use the wheel. If there's not -- like if the player's game runs until the last two minutes and they do all of the "if you would have said no deal..." stuff, then I would have to say no to bringing out the wheel.
And I think that the wheel should be a choice. Not everyone wants to risk their money.
