Wasn't the DoND Season 3 Premier exciting to watch or what? Are you all excited about the NFL Night this coming Wednesday? It's great for the show to be back after 3-month summer break (a 2-month summer absence from CNBC reruns). Did all of you have a nice summer? I did!! Well, we're back and ready for another season of "Deal or No Deal" and a few other of those NBC game shows for primetime. Here we are for the premier week and Monday, September 17th was something to bring up, and I guess NBC had a great lineup planned for that night all the way to the late-night talk shows. Here's what NBC had when I watched in the Cleveland area, WKYC Channel 3. Welcome to NBC Game Night for Monday, September 17, 2007!!
8:00 p.m. Deal or No Deal (season 3 premier)
We all watched this episode. There's so much to talk about, so I saved my thoughts about it w/ the general DoND discussions around this message board. There's one phrase I would describe the show. It's great to be back!!
9:00 p.m. The Singing Bee (new episode)
Here's a another hit NBC game show that aired this past summer. I love musical-type game shows of the past and present. A classic game show like "Name That Tune" always comes to mind. I assume that this episode of "The Singing Bee" would end the summer run. You've got Joey Fatone (the host & former *NSYNC star), The Honey Bees (the sexy dancers & more "eye candy" for NBC viewers), Ray Chew & The Groove (the orchestra providing the musical clues) w/ those back-up singers and finally the contestants who have to know the exact words to the songs that are given to them, and they don't have to sing perfectly. Scheduled on the NBC fall lineup, "The Singing Bee" will return for a 2nd season starting Tuesday, October 2nd with more musical twists and a chance for the studio contestants to win more money.
10:00 p.m. Heroes (repeat)
We all know that this show is not a game show!! Anyone follow this new drama last season (its first year)? There is so much going on per episode. If you miss any, you're kind of far behind. Watch it on-line on NBC.com or purchase the Season 1 DVD!! It is NBC's best new science-fiction drama and has received several Emmys as well as nominations and huge recognition among the cast. Starting next Monday, September 24th, Season 2 of "Heroes" starts where the last episode of last season leaves off w/ new chapters and all.
11:00 p.m. Channel 3 News (WKYC-TV & WKYC-DT in HD)
WKYC is the NBC affiliate for Cleveland and Northern Ohio viewers broadcasting in HD. The best news team since September 2000. Romona Robinson & Tim White (news anchors); Mark Nolan (Weather Plus) and Jim Donovan (Sports).
11:37 p.m. The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno (new ep.)
Howie Mandel was scheduled as one of the guests (Guest #1) that night to promote the new season of "Deal or No Deal." Jay says the "premier" will be Wednesday, September 19th. Howie corrected him that the premier "just aired" tonight. A very funny and hilarious interview between these two comics and friends!! Those people who work for Leno should have booked Howie Mandel last week to promote the Monday, 9/17 Season 3 Premier.
Coming up:
NBC Game Night (9/19/07) consisting of "Deal or No Deal" (NFL-themed episode) & "Last Comic Standing" (season 5 finale starring Bill Bellamy)
