Now that Dancing w/ the Stars (ABC) and American Idol (FOX) are both done and over with since last week, I can finally go back to my regular routines. Sure, the Nielsen ratings might have loved (or hated) me these last few months. But hey, they're all good quality programs. For me, it's NBC's Deal or No Deal , and I'm trying to catch up on the episodes that I recorded and missed since mid-March. Now that we're in late-May & early-June, the NBC schedule for DOND has shifted. Here is what's happening and what to expect in early-June for NBC primetime. Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day)No DOND episode aired. NBC aired The Real Wedding Crashers followed by Miss Universe 2007. Monday, June 4 No DOND episode to air. Instead, NBC Sports will air an NHL hockey game. It's a play-off game featuring the Anaheim Ducks at Ottawa Senators; game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, from Scotiabank Place in Kanata, Ont. Tuesday, June 5, 2007I saw an exclusive NBC preview of this upcoming episode while watching a CNBC rerun (the one w/ contestant Stan Stava) on Wednesday night. It looks like it's going to be very interesting. DOND is going to a place where they have never gone before....to some person's house!! That's right!! The "Deals on Wheels" bus with Howie, the models & crew will travel to someone's home, and the game will take place in their front lawn. Hopefully, that homeowner will walk away w/ a huge cash prize, especially the million dollars. Here's a description of that episode from the following TV listing: my.iwon.com/tv: An expectant mother begins her game on her front lawn and gets an appearance by her son's favorite performers; a Miami man plays for the $1 million top prize.Hey, what about the backyard of my house!! The neighbors would love this!! ;D DOND is followed by the premier of the second season of (Arrgh!!!) America's Got Talent. June 5th, a year ago (on a Monday) was the spectacular "Season 1 Finale" with contestant Casey Bell winning $196,000 in a heart-pounding game where the top prize was $5,000,000. So it looks like the "Season 2 Finale" might be bumped to Monday, June 11th or Tuesday, June 12th. Hopefully, this finale will once again go off w/ a bang to end another wonderful season!!

Kyranthia, Thanks for posting the date for the DOND "Season 2 Finale" scheduled for 6/18/07 (a much later date than last season's). I also saw this news and update on Game Show NewsNet along w/ other reality programs that NBC will have this summer. So it looks like the "Season 2 Finale" might be bumped to Monday, June 11th or Tuesday, June 12th. Hopefully, this finale will once again go off w/ a bang to end another wonderful season!! Why don't they come to my house and play the game in my backyard? All we have to do is control the two dogs. Keep them penned up so they don't go attacking any of the girls and Howie.

Only 2 more new eps of DoND 'til the "Season 2 Finale." Wednesday, June 13th* continuation of Tuesday's, June 5th game of contestant, Arthur Joseph (case picked: #14) * new contestant / new game * looks like, from the NBC preview, the models are marching out on stage wearing female basketball jerseys Monday, June 18th * the season finale @ 8:00 p.m. * maybe, 2 full games played * more surprises (of course!!) * my prediction for length of show: an hour and 30 minutes (just like last season) or 2 hours long * my prediction for top prize: $7,000,000 (whoa, only kidding and too much!!) * $5,000,000 or $6,000,000 as the top prize can be a possibility, but who knows * we will all find out, next week!!

Looks like this season's finale is only an hour. Darn, I knew it, especially after looking at next Monday's NBC primetime lineup!! 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Deal or No Deal (season 2 finale) 9:00 - 10:00 p.m. Age of Love (NEW summer dating/reality premier) 10:00 - 11:00 p.m. Dateline (Matt Lauer interviewing Prince William & Prince Harry) 11:00 - 11:35 p.m. Channel 3 News (local news in HD / WKYC-TV Cleveland) I still had so much fun since last season's finale. To this date, I'm still sinking in those happy, sad, exciting and heartfelt moments, especially from 6/5/06 (Casey Bell playing for $5M w/ guest Celine Dion) to this season's "big money" premier week of 9/18/06 (way to go, Michele Falco, on winning the most this season so far with $750,000!!) and beyond!! Overall, this was a great season for DoND, with many other moments not seen last season. As far as a major/minor set and/or graphic change for next season of DoND, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! There will still be more surprises to our last contestant (I hear that she's a retired teacher from St. Louis, MO) of the season, but the top prize will be the normal $1 Million. And it's only an hour long? Why you, NBC!! Let's see more past contestant updates for an extended finale, just like last season when Thorpe Schoenle (winning the most $ last season) got a surprise at his Chicago home from models, Patricia and Claudia. Both presented Thorpe and his family with the $464,000 check, and then they all go to the bank!! ;D PRICELESS!! ;D

I guess given NBC is using DoND to lead int Age of Love, they were only going to do an hour show.
Ah well. Hopefully it'll be memorable anyway, regardless of length.

I know that this DoND-related story is one year old. I thought I might want to share how that story was done locally. Looking back at last year's season finale, I have that NBC Primetime Lineup of Monday, 6/5/2006, plus WKYC-TV 3, the local NBC affiliate in Cleveland, did a feature telling viewers to watch that finale. Provided is news article & video from that date at wkyc.com. Monday, June 5, 20068:00 - 9:30 p.m.Deal or No Deal (season 1 finale) 9:30 - 11:00 p.m.The Apprentice (season 5 finale; final tasks pre-recorded around New York City; LIVE results from L.A.) 11:00 - 11:35 p.m. Channel 3 News (local news, 1 st year in HD / WKYC-TV Cleveland) Monday, 6/5/06News Article & Video:Big surprises on season finale of "Deal or No Deal"(instructions: click on link below, read article & click on "Play Video") www.wkyc.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=53160Channel 3 News MIDDAY weekdays at 11:00 a.m. News Anchor: Barbara Gauthier (BTW, her last name is pronounced "Go-chey") NBC News Entertainment Reporter: Gina Kim (sp?)
