August 12 -- that's a Wednesday for you guys.
I'm going down to Waterford for a taping of the syndication show. I'm not a contestant, but I'll be watching. Should be quite an interesting trip. It's not like I don't know where Waterford is. It's just that I don't know where the studio is and my mom's got directions. (We'll probably be hooking up the Tomtom and using that to get us to where we have to go.)
Sorry, no spoilers for you, aside from what the models were wearing and any theme weeks, just in case you want to keep an eye out for what you have to see if you want to try to see me on syndicated television. I will have a fun time!

Most of the review is up on GSN, but here's what I neglect to tell them. SPOILER WARNING BEYOND THIS POINT. You have been warned.
No theme week. We get into the actual studio just in time to see the fourth game of the week, played by a guy who apparently had to get the heck out of there in a hurry because his wife was in labor and delivery with child #2 while his game was going on. That's as far as I'm going with that game. We're seated for the second game, with a stay-at-home mom as the contestant. Phone crapped out during the first phone call, prompting the tape to stop and the phone to be replaced. There's something that goes on in this episode that I should not divulge into at this point in time, but it's something I've never seen before. They said it's a new feature on the show. Stay tuned for that.
Girls had nice baby blue dresses on. Real nice; said they enjoy being in Connecticut.
The episodes are going to be airing in October -- #s 24 and 25 (I'm in the audience for 25) for those of you who want to know the real air date of the episodes. I'm going to be on the side near the Banker, sitting almost behind the contestant and Howie if I'm ever on television. By all means, look for me!

That sounds cool, Mandy. Deal or No Deal must be a fun show to attend a taping of.

That's really cool, Mandy. Sounds like a lot of fun. And once you know the air dates, keep us posted so we can watch for you! Just as a general question...about how long was the taping?

They were about an hour, give or take the number of times something went wrong.
I won't spoil much here, but they had to retake someone opening a case in the game I was in the seats for -- the waiting period between the original open and the redo was a good few minutes. I guess they said we weren't emotional enough. That's as far as I'm saying.
I can check NBC at the end of the month to see the exact airdate.
