I think this is more like what happened last season.
In the first half of last season, Ursula wasn't there all that much (at that time, Aubrie held Case 5, while Heather LaCombe was at #23); but in the second half, Ursula was in position for every episode. I don't think Ursula's left; I believe she'll be back. Also, there's nothing on her website about that. (If she'd left, I'm quite sure there'd have been an announcement made.)

I believe that for Ursula why she's absent from a taping is most common for models in L.A. It can probably be acting, modeling and/or other travel commitments conflicting with the show. She's done it a few times last season, and even her first season w/ DOND. I remember when my girl, Patricia, had to hold case #5 for a number of shows in Season 1 just to fill-in for Ursula.
This Friday, the model line-up will consist of "Cops & Robbers" as last Friday's contestant, a motorcycle cop from Massachusetts, finishes his game hopefully to win lots of money. The models will all be marching out on stage and sporting sexy police officer uniforms, and they're all wearing sunglasses (just like in "CHiPs").
After Friday night you wouldn't want to know what I'm gonna be dreaming about. ;D

Tonight... 6) Aubrie (for Megan) 23) Alison (for Aubrie) For Both Games Played (Friday 11/2/07)
Megan Abrigo (case #6) and Ursula Mayes (case #5) were both off tonight, and we have our sexy blonde and series regular, Aubrie Lemon (who usually holds case #23) holding, for the very first time in 3 seasons, an even-numbered briefcase--which is case #6!!
Also in the model lineup for tonight are case #5 - Marisa Petroro (for Ursula) & case #18 - Kendhal Beal (for Marisa). This has been going on for a few weeks since Ursula's absence from the show.

I take it Kendhal has had the $1,000,000 for the first time then, given it was in #18 for game carried over from last time. Am I right in thinking that this is the first time (apart from the Miss USA special and Ladies Night game where the firemen were holding cases) Megan Abrigo has been absent?

I think it is. Now (I believe) Claudia is the only model who's yet to take a break (discounting Miss USA and the first game of Ladies Night).

Both Games Played on the Special GREEN WEEK Ep. (Friday 11/9/07)
Just like last Friday's episode, both Ursula & Megan were both off again, and Kendhal was probably backstage or had the night off too!! So here is your model lineup.
#5 - Marisa (for Ursula) #6 - Aubrie (for Megan) #18 - *unknown (for Marisa) *was only featured during the last contestant's prove-out rounds #23 - Alison (for Aubrie)

According to Wikipedia, Marisa is now permanent at #5, and Kendhal is permanent at #18, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

According to Ursula's website, she has been present at the more recent episode filmings, which took place two months ago (including the Christmas episode). So us DOND/Ursula fans WILL see her on the stand holding Case 5 again. Right now, until there's an announcement made on her website, I'm thinking what was added to Wikipedia is rubbish.

Hopefully, this should straighten everything out. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that ANYONE can edit, so it is not always 100% reliable.

Yes, I was doubting the reliability of it as it was on Wikipedia, but thanks for clearing that up. I assume it's just she'll be off the screens for a bit with Marisa covering at #5, rather than Aubrie who did it last year (though she's been covering for Megan at #6).

Now it's time to get caught up in Model Lineup Thread for the last 2 shows. It looks like most of the girls are in their usual positions on stage. To sum it up, Ursula & Megan are back after a few weeks absence, and Marisa & Aubrie went back up to their normal case locations respectively. Pilar (#14) is probably taking some time out from the show, but she will be back for sure. Here's the lineup for the following last two episodes.
Friday 11/16/07 The contestant, Erin Kraft, is a cheerleader coach who took her team to Nationals. Her team came to surprise her, and in the middle of the game, the remaining models took a break and some of the cheerleaders took over for opening cases. The episode also featured a mini game in the middle of Erin's game called the "Hershey's Kisses 100th Anniversary Game" where up to 3 teams of 2 contestants can win up to $100,000,000 each. Case #5 - Ursula (back in position) Case #6 - Megan (back in position) Case #14 - unknown or Alison (for Pilar) Case #18 - Marisa (back in position) Case #23 - Aubrie (back in position)
Wednesday 11/21/07 - Thanksgiving Eve This 2-hour Thanksgiving Special had lots of edge of your seat moments during both games, and features the Top Ten Moments going back to Season 1 (any ep. as far back as March 2006) with this season's substitute model, Alison, opening the case in the vault for each moment starting w/ a #10 briefcase.
Case #14 - Alison (for Pilar)
