OK, this is going to be a long one, so any that don't like the long posts, best skip this one.
First, I have to give some background, so you can fully appreciate, what I went thru, just to be able to see his show, and what I went thru afterwards, because I saw his show.
I am no longer able to show my horse, a grand champ halter mare, due to circumstances, beyond my control. So now I show cats. His name is Prowler, he is all black, and he has been shown since he was 4 mos old. He has been to NY, PA, CT, NJ & MA. He does very well at shows.
I did very well showing horses, and I carry that over to showing cats, like the hockey post, the details really matter. Showing cats is like a beauty contest. You put hours and hours into grooming them, and getting them ready for a show.
So, Howie's show is Fri, and I have a show in Groton CT Sat & Sun. I took a 1/2 day vaca, to get Prowler ready and packed, at warp speed, to make it to Howie's show, 1 hour away, by 7pm. I packed all my equip in the car, briefly thought about bringing Prowler too, but did not want to leave him unattended in the car, wish now, I had brought him, and just got a hotel room.
Now on to the show, just delete anything you feel is inappropriate.
I have never been to one of his shows, and have never been to Turning Stone. So my ID is locked in the car, and the guy won't give me my ticket, without it, and its quite a hike back to the car, lol. He asked me a bunch of questions, and I whined, and he finally gave me my ticket.
I was in the Queens section, which now I know, is too far back for me, had to wear my glasses to see, lol. Was supposed to be in an isle seat, but instead was jammed against the railing, in a table, built for 6, but they squished 8 people in there, and no room in back of you either. I am very claustrophobic, lol.
First they had this big screen up, like you would see at a football game. This guy, who looked like he was from the Lawrence Welk era, was on the screen, and kept singing the same song, over, and over, and over again. He would pause, and you were sure he was going to stop, and he started singing that same song over and over again. It was way funny!
Ken Wood something, I think, don't remember now, opened the show, he was funny, but no where near as funny as Howie.
Finally, lol, Howie comes out, so cool to see him in person. He talked about growing hair on his ass, even got a nurse in the audience involved in it, they went back and forth about that for quite awhile. It was so funny!
He made comments about how the waitress's were dressed. He got the audience involved. It was way cool, was waiting for him to say something about the Cowboys, or horses, lol, I would have opened my mouth.
He did Bobby, someone in the audience asked him to, he talked about how much his wife shops, and thats why he has to work, lol. He told us about how his wife took him shopping in a mall, he didn't seem to want to be there, and started freaking out, and the people around him, were like, looking to see what he was upset about, and his wife said she was not going to take him shopping any more, and he said something about, he'll show her. Ya had to see it, it was wicked funny.
There was alot more, which I just don't remember, because it was so long ago, should have posted about it back then.
Towards the end, it got real x-rated, he talked about his wife spreading her legs, his dick, and his testicles, which he kept grabbing. The audience was roaring, I was just dying laughing!!
Then the screen came back up, and he did the Hidden Howie thing. He washed this guys hair in a salon. He had a du-rag on, and I think glasses, but you would not have recognized him, lol.
Then he came back out and said goodbye. It was an awesome awesome show!! I throughly enjoyed it!! I highly recommend his show! It was so worth what I went thru to see it, and what I was about to go thru, because I did see it.
I waited outside a few min, would have been cool to be able to meet him, but I was on a time schedule.
Now I had to drive an hour back to get my cat, then another hour back, towards the Turning Stone, as I was headed east bound, and I live west bound.
I encountered heavy heavy fog, from the Mohawk Valley, thru most of The MA Pike. Extremely hard to see, drove all night, finally had to pull over at 5;30am, to wait out the fog, until daylight. I just could not see.
Had a zillion route changes, finally got to Groton around 8;30am, show starts at 9, and I have the first class, lol.
By the time I got done showing on Sat night, I had been up 48 hrs, and Prowler won high point for the show. Seeing Howie's show was so worth what I went thru, and I would do it all over again, well, they can leave the fog part out, lol.
If anybody is still reading this, lol, I hope you enjoyed the story, sorry it got so long, Howie was extremely funny and his show was just awesome!
