There's a new game in arcades now. You play like the regular game only you're playing for prize tickets instead of money. Depending on how much money you put in, you can play for 200 or 400 tickets maximum. One drawback is that none of the show's cast is in the arcade game though. I played yesterday and had 2 cases left. One had 8 tickets and one had 100. The offer was 54 and I took it. Of course, I had the 100 ticket case. (Darn.) But it was fun. There's a clip of it on Youtube if you want see how it plays. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcFywRN7254

BTW, congrats on winning those 54 tickets!! It still is a good return, considering you almost won 100 tickets if you had the guts of going "all the way" to the end.
Having visited Las Vegas back in June 11th, I stopped by the New York - New York Hotel, Casino & Resort after seeing a classic-Vegas show at another resort. I walked around the casino floor of NY-NY, and found out there are "Deal or No Deal" video slot machines. I didn't get to see how the game works or play the machines, because everyone of these video gaming machines were all occupied during the evening hours. Hopefully, next time I head out to Las Vegas, I might try my luck at the DoND machines. You can find them at NY-NY and many other hotels & casinos that are part of the MGM MIRAGE family. NY-NY, Bellagio, MGM Grand (where Howie performs stand-up comedy), Treasure Island and Mirage are just to name a few.

I have yet to try my hand on something like that. I've seen the game in action, so I kinda know what to expect ... some excitement.

I'm planning on returning to Vegas in February. I'll see if I can scope out one of those machines.

The arcade game is fun if you can find it. Thanks PatriciaFan!
As for the slots, I've only seen the DoND one that's got the logo from the Aussie version of the game. The models are all little blonde ladies and the Banker is a chubby old guy (who isn't in the shadows.). And most of the symbols on the reels are like cards (Jack, King, Queen, Ace). The bonus game is pretty close to the show though the cases are gold.

I played just one of those many "Wheel of Fortune" video machines (featuring Pat Sajak & Vanna White, in addition to WOF announcer Charlie O'Donnell) in the casino at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The machine has a large bonus wheel kinda like if you're actually a front-game contestant on that show. Being in Las Vegas for 3 days (June 10-12) this summer, I only lost $10 at that machine, but got to keep the comp card from South Point (that is where I stayed!!), and I always apply for & get to keep comp cards from every hotel that I stay at, whether on The Strip or off, as a souvenir.

I can't play slots unless I'm in New York. I'll be turning 20 in October. I'll have Mom play a machine if I spot one.

But anyhow, wish your mom the best of luck as she plays the machines for YOU!! If she's not lucky enough, just head on to the tables for Blackjack, Craps, Roulette or any of those other games of chance!! Who knows!! Both of your lucks might turn around!!

There's a clip of it on Youtube if you want see how it plays. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcFywRN7254Last summer (Aug. 2008) for my latest trip to Los Angeles, I found the DoND arcade games in an arcade room in the Santa Monica Pier near Pacific Park. With those machines, your playing for tickets (maximum top prize of 400 tix for $1 credit or 800 tix for $2) towards carnival-type prizes. The other DoND arcade game was in one of 2 indoor shopping malls in Woodland Hills near the entrance of the food court and the movie theater. For that machine, the top prize to play is 1,000,000 points for $1 credit or 2M points for $2 credit. Whether playing for tix or points on these DoND arcade games, you still have a 1-in-16 chance of winning the top prize. Now to the night of my birthday, which was Friday 12/26/08. I went to Dave & Busters (there is only one in Cleveland) with my brother and sister and played several skill games to win tickets. "Wheel of Fortune" was where the light spins and spins and then you hit a button to stop that light to earn your tickets (usually less than 10 or 20), or stop the light in one of the blue "Spin Zone" areas to activate the spinning of the wheel and win up to 500. I did play the arcade version of DoND. I swiped my "Power Card" twice to play "Double Deal" for the top prize of 800 tix. For my first try, I chose case #4 (in honor of NBC's 4 seasons). I was doing so well keeping the 800 in play until I had 2 cases remaining: my initial case #4 and the one left on stage which was case #9 (in honor of you know who). The values remaining were 140 and 800, and my final "Bank Offer" was 470. Believe it or not, I took the DEAL. But, had I gone all the way, I would have won 800 tickets. I played it safe, but had fun with this game for a couple more times that evening not doing so well after my "big win" of 470 tickets. The arcade game is fun if you can find it. Thanks PatriciaFan!
