Dumb idea... But why didn't they just move it to a free day? Granted, a day without DWTS or AI would have drawn viewers.
Monkeys are trained to work at these places.

What NBC shouldn't have done was replace DOND with Howie Do It on Fridays (that got cancelled as well)...

I have a better idea. Why didn't they wait until DWTS and AI were over?
The less primetime stuff, the more eyes on le holy peacock. Huh?

I don't see why not put DOND during Summer seasons only. Like Wipeout, AGT, etc. Nothing is going to happen. We're going to stay right HERE. According to the model MySpace fan page, taping's going to start either before or after that big Sunday night event featuring two teams of guys with some oddly-shaped throwing device... From above, I'm curious if any DOND episodes were made in 2009? Anybody know?

DOND would have made great summertime filler. I don't see why not put DOND during Summer seasons only. Like Wipeout, AGT, etc. Which would have been great, only 'cause most of the summer programming is crap nowadays (with the exception of something I'm watching on local television).

Who knows? In the end, it could've been the syndie version that resumed taping after the Super Bowl, not the primetime one.
