"So, I have been referred to a therapist in regards to my...shall we say, 'lack of people skills.'
I really don't get why I'm doing this. I already have studied enough psychology that I could diagnose myself. And yet here I am in the office of Dr. Patience Price. Dear Lord, is that a stage name or did her parents know what the h*** she was going to do with her life from minute one?
But I disgress...
Patience is a...shall I say...bubbly woman, to put it lightly. (She's in all honestly an over-caffienated Care Bear, okay?)
And so our session begins...
"So you were referred to me by-" she began.
"I know why I'm here, thank you very much," I scoffed.
She actually smiled in reply. And then in a sing-song voice added, "Well, of course you do. Let's just get started." She then cleared her throat.
"I don't like people much. I realize that's what you're gonna say. May I go now?" I quickly asked, hoping she wasn't going to start talking in baby talk or something.
"Well that's just step one. You've realized your problem and that's a good thing. But still-"
I glared at my watch. "Oh look at the time. I have to be at the studio in a few minutes." I got to my feet.and headed for the door.
"Oh that's quite all right. I ran over with a few patients today so I'm sure that-"
I opened the door and Dr. Price quickly added, "Next Thursday is our next session. I'm expecting you to be here."
"With bells on," I retorted, slamming the door.
Don't ask. I was that bored, I guess... Feel free to delete this one.

Look, he's decided to speak.
Me? Personally Biased? No Way!
A few of you have asked about whether or not the player's personalities affect my offers (i.e. are my offers inversely proportional to how annoying I find the contestant).
While many of the people I have to face make me want to drive a pencil through my flesh, I never let my personal feelings get in the way of what I have to do which is take people out of the game with a small cash prize.
If my offers were solely based on how I felt about the players, I could reduce our prize payouts to $10 a game.
Love, The Banker

*chuckles* That was priceless. Nice job, Laurie. Thanks. ^_^; Nah, maybe not quite that far. But...he may have a tiny melt down. *laughs* Ask and you shall receive, I guess. Though I kinda think it would have been cool for him to comment on last night's episode. I almost did my faux blog post about it, but since the show was airing on the West Coast, I didn't want to spoil it for them. May I do another Banker blog entry?

From what I've read from Alex, the personality of the contestant, the mo of the game and even the desperation factor of the Banker all play into the equation.
Yeah, I could see him offering $10:
$200,000 $500,000
::phone rings:: Hello? Okay, Clem. The final bank offer is a big one... the bank is offering you... 10 dollars!
$10
My question to you... Deal... or No Deal?
Clem Kadiddlehopper: Duh--- Deal?
(My mom rented a DVD of old Red Skelton videos. Look up the name if you don't get it)

It's been awhile, but it seems The Banker has decided to post again. November 01, 2006 Psychic Hotline
I hear a lot of comments from people to the effect that I'm simply following whatever the computer tells me to offer. I can assure you this is not the situation. This is a game, and each and every time my job is to beat the contestant. There's no way I would ever let my professional fate rest in the hands of a computer.
I truly can read people. I can smell when their luck is turning, when it's time for me to to turn the screws. I'm borderline psychic. Many times I know what's in the contestant's case just by instinct, and there is nothing, nothing like the thrill of seeing a player find out the case they sold for far less had $1,000,000 in it like Monday night (10/30).

He's right... his guidance counselor in high school said he was psychic... oh wait, no, she said he was psycho. If he didn't rely on the computer, why does he have it? To play Tetris? C'mon -- once again he's doing his usual bullcrap.

I'm guessing what he meant was that he doesn't rely only on the computer. You know - he's got this superior mind to us mere mortals and whatnot. (insert evil laughter here)
Unlreated to the current entry but about the blog in general:
Something I noticed - there's a blog entry missing. There's no May 10th entry in the current blog archives but we have one here. (And I swear the first one I ever made up was the one with the therapist!)

For those wondering which one it is, here's the blog entry in question: May 10, 8:47 pm The rumors are true…
The power of love is too great to deny.
A romance has blossomed between one of the show's models and myself. Modesty prevents me from saying which one (but she is hot).
It all started innocently enough, but I guess even in silhouette the pull of my magnetism is relentless.
It's like a Hollywood Romance. I'm in heaven. Now why would this one be missing from the past entries? The mind boggles.

Now why would this one be missing from the past entries? The mind boggles. I have 2 thoughts. 1) Most likely, the replies to that post had lots of swearing, name calling and whatnot so NBC just decided to nuke it to stop such replies. 2) From a quasi-fictional stand point... So that little post goes up on the blog. The models read it and aren't too happy about it and demand the Banker takes it down. (Or he has a nice long sit down with NBC Legal). 'If you think hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Take that fury times twenty-six.'
